Boston to host seven FIFA World Cup 2026 matches

The impressive Boston Stadium will stage a total of seven matches from the biggest-ever World Cup, including one quarter-final.

Boston Stadium will host seven matches from the FIFA World Cup 2026™, including two knockout games in the latter stages of the tournament.

The full match schedule for the biggest-ever FIFA World Cup has now been unveiled, giving the framework for the 104-game tournament featuring 48 teams across 16 host cities in three countries – Canada, Mexico and the United States.

And the imposing Boston venue will play host to five group-stage games, one Round of 32 fixture and the first quarter-final on Thursday, 9 July 2026.

Boston Stadium, home to MLS side New England Revolution and NFL outfit New England Patriots, is currently undergoing a major renovation project ahead of the 2026 tournament.

Once complete, the ground will boast the largest outdoor high-definition stadium video board in the country (measuring 22,000 square feet), 50,000-square feet of glass-enclosed hospitality and function spaces, 360-degree connectivity between all levels of the concourses and more.

Boston Stadium has hosted numerous football fixtures over the years, including at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2003™, Copa America Centenario, Concacaf Gold Cup and International Champions Cup, and is a regular concert venue for major artists.
