Houston to host seven FIFA World Cup 2026 matches

The atmospheric Houston Stadium will host seven games at the biggest-ever World Cup, including two matches in the knockout phase.

Houston Stadium will host seven matches at the FIFA World Cup 2026™, including two games in the knockout phase.

The full match schedule for the biggest-ever FIFA World Cup has now been unveiled, giving the framework for the 104-game tournament featuring 48 teams across 16 host cities in three countries – Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Five group-stage fixtures will be held at the stadium as well as one Round of 32 tie and a Round of 16 clash.

Opened in 2002, the ground, which is also home to the famous Houston Rodeo, has a retractable roof and is famed for its 'Bull Pen' section, which houses the loudest section of NFL side Houston Texans' home support.

Houston already supports many youth recreational programs and competitive clubs under South Texas Youth Soccer Association (STYSA), with over 100,000 members.
